The End of Season Two-- The Tournament of Champions

Post by Latiosmaster47 on Sat Jul 19, 2008 2:54 pm

The Season Two Tournament of Champions

Season two of the WWPL tournaments is quickly coming to a close and now, we are proud to host the WWPL Tournament of Champoins for the eight tournament champions in season two.

Premise---Depth Tournament

Remember the Switch Tournament? Well this is basically the same idea, mixed with the idea for the first ToC. You start each match with six pokemon. If you win, then you MUST switch out the pokemon that fainted in the previous match with new pokemon.

rules

Anything goes (ubers are NOT allowed, no hacks, standard WWPL clauses)

The top 4 battlers will be seeded, and the next 4 will go in as unseeded

right now, the seeds look like this (based on strength of schedule in their tournament and dominance)

1.)Fan1
2.)ale_cc
3.)sarge51
4.)zoobzor

#bennet3--dark horse
dragon9--unranked
hellrider--unranked
Jay--unranked

The winner will receive a special tournament of champions banner and a special reserved spot in the hall of fame good luck and I hope you enjoy the tournament!

YOU CANNOT ENTER THIS TOURNAMENT, THE ENTRANTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN DECIDED.

Latios, this may be an answer that means no,but about the pokemon that are defeated, can they be switched out by the same species but completely different moveset?

It must be a completely different pokemon, so nope, it can't be the same specie regardless of training/movesets.

Hopefully I can get my computer and internet up and running some time soon. I've had trouble with that for the last couple of weeks. I've been going to a library to browse the forums for the past couple of days. Too bad there's no wireless internet here, and I can't use the chatbox.

I'm assuming that in this tournament we have the option of changing our entire teams between rounds instead of just the Pokemon that fainted in the previous battle if we so choose, right? As long as we don't use the same species of Pokemon that were fainted in the last battle of course.

You can change your pokes as many times as you want, it's only the fainted pokemon that you're required to switch out.

And you cannot use a pokemon you switched out again in the tournament.

Example: you can't use a pokemon that fainted in round one again in round three.

I was thinking since we dont know who ppl are using when we lose a pokemon, should we post what we lost with the scores so we know what pokemon the person we are fighting cant use?
