WWPL v PWL

Post by Fan1 on Fri Jun 13, 2008 9:22 am

Still pending on the decision of 5 v 5, might be taken to 7 on each
side, depending on how many members from WWPL paricipate since some of
our battler's has recently returned.

Standard clauses are in play how ever there is one change that we have decided and that was to not have the item's clause.

Post here if you would like to participate in the clan war, you must be a member here at WWPL.
Please note: Member's that have shown they are good enough and have been fairly active will be selected to battle.

I'm expecting all WWPL clan members to be participating.

The roster will be decided at a later stage, match ups will be decided by this site: http://www.psychicscience.org/random.aspx

2 things,

I've made a topic on this already 2 hours before you did yours and the other thing is that link you supplied me with doesn't work.

Why not just do this?

http://www.psychicscience.org/random.aspx

The order the first batch come out of is their order of who plays what, then do it again and in that order, the 1st of each draw battle each other, 2nd battle each other etc.

One thing which is outrageous for a WorldWide Pokemon League which made my members raise an eyebrow was no Uber Clause.

D'you mind if Uber Clause were on for the inter-cross? It would make the battle more suitable and pull you into the normal competetive pokemon world.

EDIT: You'll find 99% of all Pokemon Leagues have Uber Clause and Uber Clause allows pokemon to play that are not legendary, it makes the game more variety and allows it to have things like OU, BL and UU to play.

It's the same thing but i guess that site is down.

Also we do have OHKO clause in our rules.

http://www.pokemonwifi.org/wwpl-pokemon-clan-f44/the-wwpl-clan-t390.htm

And i hope you wern't saying to use ubers, the uber clause is always on in competitive battling <_<

Didn't notice, I apologise, nothing seems wrong, check this though.

Double KO Clause - If both you and your opponent have one pokemon left (the active one) and they're both KO'd by any move's recoil then the person who used the attack loses the battle by default.
Examples:
- Player 1 uses explosion, player 1 and 2 faint. Player 2 wins.
- Player 1 perish count to 0 player 2 as well, player 2 wins.
- Player 1 uses flare blitz, player 2 faint, player 1 dies of recoil. Player 2 wins.
Also, in the same case, if your pokemon has an ability in which it hurts the foe if it attacks, such as Sharpedo's rough skin and therefore kills the opponent's pokemon like that as well as Sharpedo dieing then therefore the sharpedo trainer wins as the trainer attacking should've known the ability that sharpedo's have, and attacking like that risks he/she's chances of winning and in doing so, knows the consequence if he/her pokemon dies.
This will also work the same if the pokemon that kills the pokemon to win is then killed by poison/burn/curse. The pokemon killed by the poison/burn/curse attack that then kills the pokemon wins.

Will be ready soon. Don't worry, we aim for this to be done by 7th July. Shame you can't do 10 players. =/

EDIT: Also members are worrying over your item clause, we had the same thing for a while but 3/4 of our good members detest to it as it isn't how they play on most sites like smogon. Hence why we play Sub Item Clause.

Sub Item Clause - Four or more pokemon can't have the same items. (Max allowed is 3)
(So Leftovers and Focus Sash over users you have been weakened by this clause)

If you want for this one we can do max of 2 instead to level it. This would mean a slight change for the both of us making it more of a fair ground.

IMHO it'd just be better to get rid of this clause completely, at least for this clan war's purposes. That'd solve any problems with a number limit. Then again, my opinion counts for nothing. Just wanted to throw it out there.

Yeah but to be honest and fair there are some reasons why you don't have 6 leftovers, 6 choice bands for a team etc.

3s always a nice number.

This isn't news to us. It's the way some of us choose to play the game though.

Our clan war clauses will be agreed upon in a topic like this one. And here are the clauses that the Clan goes by http://www.pokemonwifi.org/wwpl-pokemon-clan-f44/the-wwpl-clan-t390.htm

Our site clauses are not all-intrusive. And when I say that, I mean that our members pick and choose which clauses to use from battle to battle and tournament rules are posted in the OP of each tournament topic. The only set-in-stone rules are the ones on hacking and disconnecting.
